Designing a high-quality, low-tolerance testing machine for Melitta coffee filters

FRISELLA DESIGN developed a unique testing system for one of the world’s largest manufacturers of paper coffee filters.  In that their product is the highest quality coffee filter on the market, they have stringent testing standards for the crimped seal on the filter.  A functional test is conducted on the crimp precisely controlling flow, time, temperature and pressure. An innovative design utilizing ultrasonic sensors to detect and record water level provides process engineering the metrics needed to increase yields.
