Crossbow gearbox crank system

Designed to reduce crossbow draw pressure from
200 lbs. to under 12 lbs.

A crossbow manufacturer approached us with a request to design a crossbow cranking mechanism (used to cock or load the bow) which would be suitable for female and handicapped users. The rapid expansion in the popularity of crossbow hunting has opened the sport up to these population segments, yet this manufacturer did not have a crossbow cranking system that was easy enough to use. The manufacturer also wanted a gearbox design that could be quickly removed from the bow to reduce the carrying weight.

Frisella Design developed a cranking mechanism that would reduce a 200lb draw force to under 12 pounds, was ambidextrous, could be cranked with either left or right hand, and could be quickly removed from the bow after cocking.
