PCB assembly machine

For short run and odd-shaped components

Frisella Design specializes in difficult automated solutions that baffle many other engineering companies. The robotic assembler on this page is an in-line device for placing irregularly shaped electronics parts into printed circuit boards, and then passes them onto another unit to do the soldering. This device allows for the speedy assembly of both short and long run projects, and greatly reduces manual labor, which increases profits while shortening assembly time.

The assembler uses two precision cameras to aid in the pickup and placement of each part in its proper location on the circuit board. In this project a fully programmed Epson 6-axis robot on a linear track is used for assembly functions.
